About Us

Beginning the adventure

Established in 2019, my husband and I moved to our homestead with a 3 year old and 9 month old. We were determined and motivated to live a different life. One filled with space, fresh air, and all the beauty nature has to offer. We have just shy of 5 acres, with nearly 1 wooded acre to explore! Flowers have always been a passion, but the idea and direction of the farm were only beginning to grow.

The life takes hold

As we settle in to homesteading and raising toddlers, we quickly learn there is a new pace here. A slow and steady we must embrace, a fact we knew but learned to feel was entirely different. We learned about soil, we grew our vegetable garden, added chickens to the family. We both have huge dreams for our spot in the world, but have elongated our time tables in order to give our kids, animals, and land all they need.

The dream becomes reality

As a Social Worker for 15 years, I had been contemplating my “second career” for many years. My work has shaped me in many ways I am proud of, but one can only carry so much for so long. Motherhood redefines priorities and I found myself looking for a new way to bring joy and beauty into the world. Our spot in this world was intoxicating, the views breathtaking, I repeatedly thought, “All we need is a giant color pop.” After a successful year of trial growing, hours of research, and a class in business, R & R acres came into full bloom. Inspired by the farms namesake, my kids, Rae & Rogan. For them I take the leap to grow amazing things and share them with the world.
